Tax Prep
Don’t trust your taxes to just anybody! Lisa is an EA (enrolled agent) — the highest credential awarded by the IRS. An EA does not “work for” the IRS, they are a tax practitioner who is licensed at the federal level by the IRS. A CPA, on the other hand, is licensed by the applicable state boards of accountancy.
In order to maintain her EA status, Lisa is required to obtain 72 hours of continuing education credits every three years (spread out annually). In addition, an EA is bound by Circular 230 that provides ethical guidance. As an EA, Lisa knows taxes inside and out, including forms like:
- 1040
- 1040 SR
- 1065
- 1120S
- 1120
In addition to some less usual (and possibly more frequent) tax forms, like:
- 2290
- IFTA
- SALT (state and local taxes)
- Personal Property Tax (and exemptions)
Haven’t filed your taxes in years?
Concerned about the way your prior taxes have been filed?
Lisa can help get you back on track and set your mind at ease! Despite what you might see in the movies, the IRS is not a wicked agency only looking to collect as much money as possible and jail you if you can’t pay. However, navigating the IRS system and agents can be difficult, time consuming, and intimidating. Let Lisa do the work for you!
In addition, Lisa is very knowledgeable about the United States Tax Court and can guide you to a specially trained tax court professional if needed.
